Saving money on your wedding.......
Skip the hard alcohol at your reception and serve only serve beer, wine and champagne. This not only saves you financially, but will save you the time and trouble of finding designated drivers for those drivers who shouldn't be behind the wheel.
Use lots of candles for decorations for an evening wedding and reception. Candles set an elegant, romantic tone for your celebration. With all these candles around, you can cut down on the other decorations. (Be certain to check the fire code!)
Do you really need all those attendants? Having only a couple bridesmaids and groomsmen will be a savings to you.
Estimate conservatively your reception guests. It helps to have reply cards for this. When you are asked by your caterer for a count, estimate carefully any additional people you have not heard from via your reply cards. Like it or not, you may end up having to make a few phone calls to those you haven't heard from.
